Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Used Vehicle
I purchased a used vehicle two weeks ago. I took it back today to the dealership where I purchased it, and they checked it out(''service engine soon'' light was on)and they were going to charge me just to find out the problem. Well, a part will need to be replaced estimating at $750 with labor. They are refusing to fix it being that is was sold without warranty. I could understand if months have passed but, it's barely going on two weeks. I felt that I was being taken advantage of being that I am a young female. Should I take legal matters on this issuse?

Re: Used Vehicle
A vehicle sold without warranty means with all faults, and it's yours as soon as you sign the contract of sale.
That's why you should always take a used vehicle to the mechanic of your choice to check it out before you buy.
Re: Used Vehicle
This is one of the risks of buying a used car. "AS IS" means "AS IS". No warranty means they don't warrant anything and are not responsible for repairs. Unless they made some specific representation to you, you are responsible for the repair bill.
