Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Venue
If I entered into an agreement with and paid a person residing in Georgia to provide a service and that person defaulted on the agreement can I sue that person in Texas
(Texas was indicated in the Agreement as the state having jurisdiction)?

You can bring suit in Texas for breach of contract, relying on the venue provision in the contract itself. That doesn't say that the Georgia party may not challenge venue either directly or collaterally. They probably will not be successful on their challenge, but that's not a foregone conclusion.
