Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Wrongful death of animals?
My daughters dog and two others were accused of killing a neighbors sheep. My daughters dog was shot and killed (not the other two dogs). I know I cannot recover anything for our dog, since she was obviously there. Now the sheeps owner is asking me to pay for the sheep and also is asking for feed and Vetrinary services she has paid over the last six years. She also says she can sue me for the unborn babies they would have had. What am I responsible for in this situation?
Thanks for any advise you can provide.

Re: Wrongful death of animals?
If your daughter is over 18, you're not responsible for anything. If she's a minor, you may be responsible for the value of the sheep that was killed. You should not be responsible for future lambs, or previous vet bills.
