Legal Question in Health Care Law in Texas
In 2006 my fiance went into the ER, I signed some sheet saying to treat him, but hospital is saying not the guarantor slot. Now, 2012 a collection agency has dropped my credit score by 67 points on 3 medical bills that my ex-fiance hasn't paid. Am I responsible like there saying I am?

You are only responsible to pay for a non-family member's bills when you promise to do so in writing. Absent that, you have no responsibility. You need to review what you signed to see if you assumed any responsibility for the ex-fiance's debt. Further, you are not legally responsible today for paying a medical bill from 2006 unless you have agreed to pay it within the last four years.
