Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I came to the US in 1990. I was married to a us citizen for 20 years. When we got divorced he said he lost my green card...I am remarried but want to go back to Germany...I do NOT want to come back to the US...My passport is also expired...Do I need to get a new Green Card in order to get back home?...How do I go about to get back home and how do I bring my passport up to date?...please help...thank you.

You only need a "greencard" to re-enter the United States, not Germany, If you are a German citizen, then all you need to do is contact the local German Consulate & get your passport renewed.
