Applying for citizenship/with misdemeanor b

i have been in us for 22 yrs and had a conviction 8 yrs ago for indecent exposure as charged in the information. court gave me 2 yrs probation or 180 days of confinment with $500.00 fine.what r my chances of getting citizenship .

If you have maintained good moral character for at least 5 years prior to applying for citizenship, there is a good likelihood that your misdemeanor may not bar you from citizenship. Now, the government can always go back as far as it wants to see about your character; hopefully since your conviction you have maintained yourself properly. Make sure that you include your release from your probation officer in support of your good character during probation. Good luck!

I agree with Mr. Sequinot, and want to add that even if you are familiar with paperwork, you should not make this application without a lawyer. Attorneys familiar with the law, will complile a package more likely to survive USCIS scrutiny.
