Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
asylum decision recommended for approval
Asylum office send me 'Recommended for approval' letter on my asylum application in August 2005. Then I waited for one year but there was no response for one year. Then I worte a letter to the Asylum office. Then I got a letter for my finger print after that. It is been 3 month since I had finger print. BUt I have not reard anything about my case. Would you advise how long does it take to get final decision on asylum chase which was recommended for approval?

If there is anything true about USCIS - it is that they move slowly. Even still, this seems unusually slow. Hire a lawyer to determine the problem, or be the squeaky wheel that calls and writes until you get a response.
