Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I was born in the Congo and raised by my biological mother and stepfather who loved and cherished me. So when my father who had left for America years before called out of the blue requesting that I come to the States, I was not very excited. After many talks with my mother and stepfather, we decided that I'd come. I was a child and spoke no English. I knew nothing about the inforrmation required by the government when filing for a loved one to come to the States. I am now 22 and just recently got married in Jamaica because I've always wanted a beach wedding and my husband is Jamaica. Now I'm in the process of filing for him to come. We've been together almost 4 years and the distance and traveling are getting a little hard. It is then that I found out that my father had put my stepmother's name as my mother when he filed for me to come. It's easy for me to come up with proof that my mother, and not my stepmother, gave birth to me. We can get my birth certificate, pictures, school documents, a DNA test to proove this. Though I am angered by father, I have younger half siblings who depend on him financially. Is there anyway I can solve this problem without getting him in trouble with the law for purposefully putting my stepmother's name instead of my mother's?
