Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Hello. I have been with my boyfriend for 1.5 years. He was married, but had been seperated for almost 3 years before finalizing a divorce this past July. Because he was seperated, he failed to appear for interviews to remove conditional status of his green card. Currently, his residency is terminated and he is in removal proceedings which will occur May 22, 2012. My question is this, we have been together for a while now, and are very much in love. If I marry him will it keep him from being deported. I plan to marry him anyway, but if need be to rush things a bit, I will.
