Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
A complicated case!
Hello, I am an international (F-1) student who was charged with 5 different criminal cases (misdemeanor class ''A''- Assault bodily Injury) and I was arrested couple of times, as a result of that. I had jury trial on 2 of the 5 cases and I was acquitted (not guilty). After that the DA dismissed/rejected the other 3 cases. Bottom line is: I was never on parole/probation, or did any sentencing/community service. However, I do intend to get my criminal record expunged sometime in the future. Moreover, my would be wife does not have last 3 years IT returns, but only 2. Will all this create any problem for me to get the GC after marriage?

Re: A complicated case!
You should be fine, but you should use an immigration attorney, to make sure that all of the necessary documentation is included in your application. Your would-be wife may have a problem without sufficient income taxes. Did she not file previous years? Was she required to file? Does she have sufficient income to satisfy the AOS requirements for a sponsor? Discuss this in detail with your attorney, as there are alternatives available.
