Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
I contracted and attorney (Andra Kelly) with Bailey & Galyen on January 25, 2008 on an immigration case. I paid $1000,00 per agreement and she left the firm without any notification to me. I called
to check on the case so was given another attorney (Michael Spychalski) he asked for another
$460.00 to pay immigration costs which I paid on October 12 2008. Again I called to chec on the
case and nothing had been done and he seemed to not know anything about it. I requested I
should get my moneys back. I heard nothing more until I contacted Phillip Galyen head of the
Firm and I got an E-Mail from Attorney Spychalski Dated August 3, 2010 saying he would
be sending me a check for $960.00 and would consider the case closed. I have not received
any moneys as of December 11,2010. What steps can I take now?

If you don't feel as if any work was done on your case, and if your money was not refunded, you can report the attorneys to the State Bar Association in Texas.
