Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
family based petition
We expect to be granted a conditional permanent resident visa soon and will move to Texas. How long before they email the green card to us there? can my kids go to school and can we work even with just a conditional visa?do we have to wait for it in Texas? or can we wait for it in another state?

Conditional LPR includes the right to work. You can get a SS card. The actual card takes a few months, but your passport should get stamped I551, which is proof of LPR. Your kids can go to school. USCIS is a bureacracy, and if you move from your stated address, you risk delaying the process. I recommend you stay put until you get all of your paperwork in order, then notify USCIS of the change in address. Good luck.
