fiance visa
a person under student visa and work permit will be engaged to a us citizen. will the fiance be able to petition for a fiance visa while the person is still in the U.S. under the student visa? If yes how long will it take to process the fiance visa? Is the same true when married?

Re: fiance visa
The fiance visa is issued to a person waiting outside the U.S. The person enters on a fiance visa and must then marry the sponsor within 90 days. One cannot change status from an F visa to a K visa while in the U.S.
