Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Foreign Born Child of Green Card Holder
My husband and I are planning to find a surrogate in India to give birth to our biological child. Our names will appear on the birth certificate. My husband has a green card and I am still waiting for mine. What processes do we need to go through to bring our child back in? How long does the process take? What status will the child have? What issues or problems could come up?
Thank you very much for your advice.

Re: Foreign Born Child of Green Card Holder
Without even studying the situation, and all of the contracts involved, I can think of MANY issues and problems that could arise in this transaction. Far more than can be addressed in this message. You need to retain a lawyer versed in immigration, as well as family law, to assist you in these transactions.
