my friend got married three months ago can she divorce and marry someone else and not lose her status?

If her current husband filed a marriage petition for her, if she divorces him she will not be able to get her permanent green card in 2 years. I suggest that she consult with an experienced immigration attorney, there may be a way to do this as long as the first marriage was not fraudulent, but it will take an attorney to file the proper papers at the right time.
