Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
A friend of mine came to the U.S. on a visitors visa. While here she married a U.S. citizen they applied for and recieved a 2 year green card. Her husband refused to get a job or provide any support for her. They have since split up. She has children from a previous marriage. They are in school and are intigrated into the American system. What is her choices to stay? Are there any forms that she needs to file?

She needs to speak with an experienced immigration attorney who can evaluate her case. There are instances where people who are no longer with their U.S. citizen spouse at the time of their green card renewal can go ahead and continue the process, however, they must have an attorney assist them.
