Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Green card
1. After getting plastic card (Green Card), what is the minimum time I should stay with company, before I move on to next job.
2. If I leave company in 3 months, will it create issue when applying for Citizenship. Or is it advisable to leave company after 6 months minimum?
3. What if I apply for citizenship after 6 years instead of 5 years, that way I do not have to mention sposoring employer name.

Re: Green card
I advise my clients to stay a minimum of 6 months, and I prefer that they stay a minimum of one year. If you stay only 3 months, and your employer complains to USCIS that you did not have permanent intent, you risk losing your LPR. Stay longer -- the risk is not worth the potential consequences.
