Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

H-1b

I am currently on an H-1B that is about to expire in May 2005. It has been 3 years and I want to renew the H-1B for another 3 years. What forms do I need to complete? Do I have to apply for another Labor certification (Form 9035E) The original Form ETA 9035E was signed and dated for 3 years.

Also, somewhere it said that I need to provide a letter as to why I want the extension. When they say extension is this past the 6 year mark? Is there a difference between ''extension'' and ''renewal''?

Thanks

Re: H-1b

I can definitley help you with this process. I have a 99% approval rate on my H petitions.

You have 3 years left on your H visa and an extension for the next 3 years with an appropriately lengthy LCA is needed at this time.

In this context, an extension and a renewal are the same thing. The process is referred to as an extension of stay.
