Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
H1B and Marriage
I am in the US with an H-1B visa. If I was to marry an illegal alien, would that affect my visa? Would I break any law? When I renew my H1B, or my company starts my green card process, would my marriage affect those processes? What should I answer when immigration forms ask me about my wife and her immigration status in the US?
Thank you!

Re: H1B and Marriage
Your immigration status will not be affected by her immigration status. But you will have to be forthright in answering the questions, which of course will shine a spotlight on your wife for ICE.
