Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
h4 to f1
Hi! i have a big question..my dad is in the us with a h1b and i am with a h4, i will be 21 in 6 months when my h4 will expire, but my 1-94 expires until 2010, what does that mean, can or should i switch to an f1?what do i need to do so? is it risky to switch it?

Your I94 muddies the water, but does not affect your expired status. You need to search out options for changing status. In my opinion, dealing with immigration is always risky, however, if you do not have a transfer in progress, and your status expires, your situation is much worse.
