Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Hello there this Hassan and i am currently in a complicated scenario right now. I have been on F1 status for about 6 years and completed my bachelor's in the US and am currently pursuing my masters. I have never violated my F1 status before and this is the first time it has happened. What happened was that i was taking 9 units at the start of this spring semester and then in march i dropped to 6 units since one of the classes was giving me a hard time and i am also changing majors and transferring to another school which has that major. I also got married in January and filed for 485 and everything was going right except recently under which i had to go through a divorce because of understanding issues which was ex wife was not willing to compromise on. That was another reason i didn't see dropping the course and being below full time would be a full time. It was unexpected but now i have to go through this. I am going to withdraw my 485 application and file for F1 reinstatement as soon as possible. My question is that what are my chances of getting reinstated and how does my case sound like?
