Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Greetings, my husband and I are US citizen and jointly signed I-865 for my parents green cards. They got green cards about 2 years ago. However, I and my husband are divorcing now. And, I was wondering whether my husband will still be responsible to support my parents after divorce is final. Thanks.

I think you meant to say the Form I-864 (I-865 is sponsors change of address form). Anyway, it clearly states on the I-864 that divorce does not end the obligations to support.
However, he might be able to argue that when they mean divorce does not end the support obligations, they're talking about the regular situation where the sponsor is sponsoring his or her spouse and now they are divorced. Your husband's situation is slightly different in that he agreed to be liable for his wife's parents but now he is divorcing his wife. If the government sues him for reimbursement and he wants to fight it based on this interesting argument, it might be worth a shot for him to argue, if he is inclined to go through protracted litigation at that time.
