Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Husband in Removal Proceeding
The decision was made in absentia in the state of Maryland we live in texas now. Filed for a stay of removal and now must reopen case in Baltimore, Md. My husband is not a Terrorist or Security Risk and never been convicted of a crime. My Question is can I ask for Bond, Parole or do the case have to reopened first. How can we work on the case effectively if he's being detained?

Re: Husband in Removal Proceeding
You can request a bond, but it is highly unlikely that it will be granted. There is already an outstanding removal order, and apparently he already FTA once. You will have to communicate by mail and occasional telephone. His attorney will have greater access to him.
