Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

Imigration

My wife whi is a paperless resident has had visas in the past. But due to a problem with an imigration official at the border, where she thought she was mistreated, she tossed the visa back to the official. She was then fingerprinted and believes she can not be legal in the US. I think I need to get her prints and get a criminal report. I am a US citizen, retired military and we are married. If she has a record, how can we proceed so that she can become legal?

Re: Imigration

Oops.

So now she realizes that that was a poor choice?

Hire a lawyer to do a FOIA -- since she is a legal resident, she is entitled to a replacement green card. The attorney will also learn in the FOIA if there was any charge placed -- although from your description, it does not sound as if there was a justifiable charge.
