my situation is very complex i have a friend that had been convicted and been in prison now he has entered the united states illegally and has been caught he is now being held by immagration and i want to know what happens next or what can i do now?

Your friend will be held for removal proceedings. The federal government may also wish to prosecute him criminally first. You can hire a lawyer for him. There may or may not be options available, it depends upon the facts of his case.
