Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
I am currently in the U.S. on an L2 visa. We are in the process of getting divorced, what are my options when the divorce becomes final. Thank you.

Once your marriage is terminated, you fall out of L-2 status by operation of law. There is always a short, very temporary change of status to B-2. Perhaps continuing your education with an F-1 (of course, there is the financial support issue)? Since I know very little about your background, I cannot advise you on much. Depending on the country you are from, you may be eligible for an E-2 investor visa, an E-3 Professional (Australia), or a TN NAFTA Professional (Canada or Mexico). I suggest you consult with a local immigration attorney to explore any potential options in detail.
Good Luck!
