Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

what is my legal status ....

I am trying to go to school in US but my status is creating problem. Many educational institutions already denied my application for enrolment as I am out of status. I came US as F1 student and I graduated and finished my OPT period in July of 2005 �. I got married to American citizen in November 2005 �I have not filed any paper work yet �I need some lawyer help in doing so ��..

So what is my status these days and if I am out of status � how can in make it valid visa status,,, what do I need to do to go to school again for my masters.

You are still out of status, however, you can resolve your situation fairly quickly and smoothly here in the Dallas District, provided your spouse is a USC. My attorney fees are $1000.00 flat fee, if there is no negative criminal or immigration history. Filing fees to USCIS will depend on the options you choose. From the facts you have given, you appear to be eligible for permanent residency (green card). When you apply for adjustment based on your marriage to a US citizen spouse, your status will then be authorized and you will not need a separate visa to go to school.
