Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Getting married
I am a F-1 student who is planning on applying for OPT and then finally getting married to a US citizen once I get my opt. Can I apply for GC after marriage?

Yes, you may apply for your adjustment of status to permanent resident after marriage to a US citizen.

Yes, you can apply for adjustment of status, your green card, immediately upon marriage to the USC. You do not have to have the OPT in order to do so, as your LPR will allow you freedom to work wherever you wish.
