marrying a convict
I'm an ilegal alien and i've been engaged for 3 months. My fiance, was arrested 4 revoking his probation, & he got sentenced to 4 years... we still want 2 get married & I know we can do it, once he get's down to TDC, my question is... can I still get citizenship... while he's in jail?? or should I wait till he get's out?

Re: marrying a convict
If you are a US Citizen you can marry him, you can apply for a greencard for him. However he would not qualify for adjustment of status. He will have to go back to his homecountry for processing and more than likely have to stay there for ten years or more if you cannot prove a hardship to you and his US family.
