I'm an F1 student and will be marring to US citizen soon. After we get married,, is he suppose to file any papers or what..?

Marriage to USC

Yes, you and he should be filing the paperwork for your permanent residence. There are 2 steps to this, and they can be filed together. There are multiple forms, including an Affidavit of Support and you should apply for a travel document (called Advance Parole) and work authorization, if you want to work. The process can take 6 months or more, and you should not plan on travelling and returning in F-1 status once you are married.
