My Parents Faked My Birth Record

I've lived my whole life without knowing that my parents faked my birth record through a midwife.

Now that I am trying to obtain my passport, I have been told that my birth record is false and that I cannot obtain my passport or a copy of my birth record.

What can I do?

Go to the Texas Department of Vital Statistics website. There is a procedure under Delayed Registration for persons over the age of 15. If you qualify under those procedures, then you can get them to issue a delayed certificate.

If you cannot, then you will need to hire a lawyer to get a court order which establishes your identity and your date of birth. That court order will then be used to issue your amended certificate.
