Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Pass Port
I tried to apply for a pass port a couple of years ago and I was not approved.
I submitted a registration record, a couple of letters of individauls that acknowledge me being born. I was told that I need to provide school records and Baptismal record. The church where I was baptised was not able to locate my baptismal recored. School states that they are not required by law to keep school records for more than 7 yrs. So, I can't obtain these records.
I was born in Dallas, Texas on 08/21/60 at home and I have attended school my whole life thru 11th grade. My mother did not register me until 3 yrs later after my birth, so I have no birth certificate, just a registration. My mother cannot testify that she even my mother, as she has Alziehemers in the latter stages and is in a nursing home.
Any suggestions as to what else I can do to obtain a pass port? I am thinking I am going to have to obtain an atty.

Re: Pass Port
I would suggest that you obtain affidavits from the school and church that the records are not available. Then get a minimum of three affidavits from people who were present when you were born -- people who can state under oath that they knew your mother, knew she was present, recall the dates, and know that it was you that she gave birth to -- an attorney may be more successful at this.
