Passport renewal

My US passport renewal was denied due to child support arrears. We both parties made payment arrangement through the court of jurisdiction. I am involved in import and export international trade. I have an urgent need to travel abroad to see my ailing sister and also pursue my business opportunities.

Please advice me available options to renew my passport? I am 60 years old. (Any hardship waver, emergency visit or some financial security and so forth.)

If your arrangements are made through a court order, then you should show that you are current. Am not aware of any exceptions or waivers.

The government has little sympathy for anyone not paying child support. So you need to either pay up or demonstrate that you are in fact in compliance.
