Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Social Security
I have a friend from South America. He is here illigally. He asked to use my Social Security # to get work and I gave it to him. What is my liability? What could I be charged with? How strictly do the S. S. administration check for two people using one #?
Thank you, Kenneth

Re: Social Security
Your liability is huge. I mean to scare you. You may never get caught. If you do get caught you could do federal prison time, depending upon the circumstances of the situation. SS# duplicates are routinely caught, as they show up on in numerous agency databases. See a lawyer.
