can a uncle file for asylum behalf of niece being in domestic violence?

If your niece is already in the United States and has a valid claim for asylum, she may apply for it herself. You may write an Affidavit in support of her application if you would like to help her. She should consult with an immigration attorney before applying as these cases are complex and filing a frivolous claim can lead to problems in the future.
