Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
unplanned marriage
My son girl friend came to visit and they decided to get married (spontaneously). She was just here to visit, like before. Now they would love for her to be able to stay. My son has a stable income to provide for her. Her Visiting visa ist still valid till the end of November. What legal steps can they take, for her to be able to stay? Thank you for your time and help.

Re: unplanned marriage
There should be no problems with her obtaining legal residency, but he should hire an immigration lawyer to make sure that it is done correctly. They will file I130 and I485 simultaneously, together with supporting forms and documentation. Good luck.
