Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Can a visa be converted from H4(non working) to L1-B(working) within US without going back to home country?
Hi,
At present I am in US on H4 dependent visa.
My company in India with which I had worked for 4 years is ready to apply for my L1-B visa.
I want to know whether I can start working in US on L1 visa without going back to India.
And also, how much time will it take to acquire L1 visa once applied.

For an L1 petition to be filed, you would need to have worked abroad for at least one year during the past 3 years. There are other requirements as well: www.h1b1.com/L1visa.htm
You can call our immigration law firm at 212-268-3580 during business hours to briefly discuss eligibility.
