Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
young adult needing citizenship
I am a teacher and have a former student who was brought to the US when he was 13 from Guatamala with his parents. Since then he has attended and graduated from high school and wants to go to college. He is enrolled but cannot get his student ID without a Texas ID. What is the first step in getting him what he needs so that he can continue his education and stay in the United States. Is there any hope?

Re: young adult needing citizenship
He needs an immigration lawyer. And he needs to be careful.
The appropriate action depends upon how he arrived in the United States, and what, if any, steps his parents undertook towards his status.
This requires more information than provided, to determine if there are any options available to him.
