Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Apartment complex fire
My apartment along with my belonging were recently damaged in a fire at my apartment complex. The fire was an electrical fire in the model unit. None of the residents had insurance. I am filing a claim for the apartments insurance. To what extent should they reimburse me for my damages? If they agree to pay, do they have to pay to restore everything to the original state before the fire?

Re: Apartment complex fire
They would most likely pay you the depreciated value of your belongings that you can prove were destroyed by the fire. Not the value for new things.
