Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

auto accident, at fault ...two years ago

I was involved in an automobile accident in 2002. They said I was at fault. got no traffic tickets and there was no passenger in ther other vehicle. It was parked on the road and belonged to the city. They say they had harzard lights on even though they had not coned off the lane. I skidded and hit the truck from the back. they had no damages and my car was totalled. Their witness was one of their people. My airbag also shattered into pieces and a lawyer I spoke to then needed for me to get the airbag from the car but the junkyard had already sold my car which was pretty new and had no mileage.

I was informed I didnt have personal injury protection. I still feel I wasnlt at fault but was unable to get witnesses coz I had to go for surgery and was hospitalized. Can I still sue the car compan?

what about all the bills that I accumuluted interest on for lack of payment even though I had to be off ork for 7 months? can I negotiate them? I have doctors notes.

can I also pursue the city for that since they had hazard lights on and no cones and they were difficult to see as the truck ws parked on a three way lane down hill to where one could not see that far beyond.

if your accident occurred in 2002 it is possible that the statute of limitations which requires accident suits to be filed within two years has run. you may be barred from filing any claim.
