Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Auto Accident?
Faulty insurance company refuse to pay me what my car is worth. I have a SUV 2001 Toyota Sequoia in excellent condition. USSA stated they sent a check for $9000.00 . that is what they going to pay. per kelley blue book the SUV is worth $15000.00 . Is there a law that protects me.

This is a very typical insurance company tactic. All insurance companies in Texas routinely cheat claimants from a few hundred to several thousand dollars on their property damage claims. They hope, of course, that you will just take what they offered and drop your claim (90% of all claimants do just that). Your only recourse is to hire a lawyer and have him file suit. If more people did this instead of just giving up, the insurance companies would be less likely to continue this fraudulent practice.
