beneficiary
my husband and I were divorced in 1990 and he kept me on the policy as beneficiary and payed until his death 2007.the insurance co says they wont pay unless it was stated in decree i was still beneficary is this correct

It depends on a few items. Was the policy ever renewed or a new beneficiary designation form executed? If he changed insurance companies or executed a new form after the divorce, then you can show he intended to keep you as a beneficiary. If not, some types of insurance policies stay in effect after a divorce.
