Re: Declining Rental car insurance
If the insurance company ultimately fails to pay it, you are responsible. You may then, in turn, have a cause of action against the intsurance company. What you need to do:
1. Have the insurance company confirm IN WRITING that they are going to pay the rental car company.
2. Schedule a conference call between the insurance adjuster and the representative of the rental agency. Confirm the schduled call IN WRITING.
3. Confirm the contents of the call with both companies, via certified mail, RRR.
Basically, you need to document EVERYTHING that happens, as you will be left holding the bag for the rental fees if you don't.
