Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Dirtbike/SUV accident
My son is 17 & was driving a borrowed dirtbike on a private gravel driveway which intersects with a 2 lane public road. He was going too fast when he got to the end of the driveway and slid into an SUV, and received a ticket for no insurance. He has insurance on his truck, but the company said that he would not be covered in this particular situation, because the dirtbike is not registered and was technically not on the private driveway. Is there any way to get the ticket for no insurance dismissed and get the insurance company to pay and also for my son's medical bills?

Re: Dirtbike/SUV accident
Motorcycle insurance is separate insurance. Check your policy. See if it says what it covers and excludes. I think it says it excludes motorcycles. If so, no insurance for this claim exists, so there would be no point, and no basis, to dismissing the no-insurance charge.
