Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Health insurance fraud
Ten years ago, my boyfriend (we lived together) put me on his family's business insurance policy, United Health Care. On the application, he stated that he was adding his wife (we have never married, but we did live together for four years). The owner of the company (his mom) signed it, as well. Wouldn't that be considered insurance fraud? We are in Texas. I know its been a long time, but he says not to worry, as there is a statute of limitations and that they can no longer come after him because it has been so long. Is that correct? It makes me a bit nervous , even now. If United found out, even now, that they lied back then, what can happen?

He could have been your common law husband...and you may need to get a divorce..if yuo have not but I don't see it asinsurance fraud necessarily.
