Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

hmo to be referred to other provider

My HMO insurance will not reffer me out to other provider for treatment of my lymphoma. The fact that they were not able to diagnose me for more than 4 months, I don't trust the system anymore. They sent me out to MD Anderson for full diagnostic but not for treatment. I would rather have the treatment done there at MD Anderson rather than the Kelsey clinic. I have a stage IV large B cell non hodgkins lymphoma. This is the fast growing one. The 4 months waste before the treatment is enough to not make me trust them anymore. I should have been in my last Chemo cycles. Pls. give me advice. Thanks

Re: hmo to be referred to other provider

You're going to have to sue them for a Temporary Restraining Order and maybe a declaratory judgment. You need to find an attorney who can handle this for you.
