Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Does Homeowners Insurance cover auto accidents?
My son was in an accident where the other boy was at fault and we will be settling with the insurance company but I am afraid the limits are low and wondered if claims can be made against the boys parents homeowners insurance?

Re: Does Homeowners Insurance cover auto accidents?
A claim cannot be made against the homeowner's insurance. However, a claim can be made under the Uninsured/Underinsured endorsement of your automobile policy. Before you settle the case with the other boy's automobile liability insurer, you must get the consent of your auto insurance company to settle for the policy limits of the other boy's liability policy. You should get this consent to settle in writing.
Hope this helps.
