Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

House Damage

almost 2 wks ago I lost power due to a trash truck knocking down a power pole that was in my backyard. I have damage to my house as a result. It was said that the responsible party would be named in the 911 report. It was (the name of the trash co) but now it seems as though no one want to accept responsibility for this and is doing a lot of finger pointing. Meanwhile I am in Tx in 100 degree heat no airconditiong some if not half of my outlets don't work I have no way to cook food for myself and I don't even know if my house is safe to be in with all the possibile electrical problems. I don't know what to do I can't keep going on like this I have medical problems I am a heart patient and the conditions in my house are unbareable! I need to know what my options are please I feel if I don't do something this will never get resolved. What I don't understand is how this company can claim no responsibility in this matter when it was their employee that caused all of this. Help me please Thanks

i am sorry for the problems you are having. in mu judgment you would have a claim against the trash truck company for your damages proximately caused by the truck drivers negligence.

however, whether the company will voluntary do something about it is another question. i think you should consult with a qualified attorney and determine what legal steps you will need to take.
