Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Is it legal for an auto insurance company to require me to physically come to the office to cancel my insurance? AMAX is requiring this now.

How can they otherwise assure themselves that it is you without presentation driver's license and other identification. The ramifications for you are very consequential if it is not truly you. Secondly, if you try to do it by mail, certified mail, or otherwise, there may the 25 days that will lapse between the time of mailing an actual cancellation costing you.
