Is there any legal recourse to obtain copies of insurance policies of deceased i
The father of my 10 yr old stepdaughter passed away recently. I have reason to believe that a sizeable life insurance policy naming her as beneficiary and her mother as executor is being withheld by the deceased's family. How can I find out about this, and if so, gain possession of said policy?

Write the insurer as the legal guardian of your daughter, a possible beneficiary. If you don't know who the insurer is, contact a lawyer and he will be able to get the information from the "other family."
